Mathematics is the foundation of logic and science. Logic and analytical thinking is crucial in academic and working life. Sound decision-making relies on rational and analytical reasoning.
Perceptual Maths™ introduces the very young child to arithmetic, which is the basic mechanics of mathematics. The child should be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers by the end of the 18-month program. The child will understand the concepts of fractions and inequalities. At the same time, he or she will have acquired the spatial experience and ability to be able to tell the time.
Having mastered the mechanics of mathematics the child should then be able to focus on understanding advanced mathematical concepts at school, rather than spend all his or her energy learning arithmetic.
